We need a Web Developer for Equity Company

Gameplan is in search of a developer to join our NYC/NJ-based development team. You will be part of a slight startup development team who all have an equity stake in the company and its success. Building cutting-edge educational advising as well as career management software. As a web developer you will perform a vital role in launching our first clients, helping the business mature as well as expanding your own opportunities for growth.

Requirements & Skills-

a) LAMP stack proficiency (PHP5, JavaScript, HTML and MySQL 5+)

b) MVC experience (Zend or other PHP frameworks preferred)

c) Strong OO design/programming skills (PHP preferred)

d) Knowledge of design patterns

e) Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment

f) Version control (Github preferred, but any Git/SVN experience is a must)

g) XHTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript

h) Cloud hosting experience a big plus (Rackspace especially)

i) Excellent verbal and written communication skills

j) Enthusiasm for new, open source technologies

Desired Skills are CSS, JavaScript, XHTML, HTML5 and PHP5
