In the previous unit you have study the fundamentals of HTML. After study about how to make static web pages, now let us study how to develop Interactive Web sites. A good web site must be interactive and simple to use and understand.   Certainly, very simple web sites which merely need to present some static information might not provide for user input.  Interactive web sites are those which are capable of taking input through the user and presenting the output on the behalf of the inputs given. To be capable to do so, you will require more HTML features than have been covered so far. Features such as, Lists, Links Tables, Input controls will let you to create sophisticated web pages which respond to user input dynamically.  HTML provides all of these features using distinct tags like UL, A, OL, FRAMESET, INPUT, and others, that you will study in this unit. In addition to the tags themselves you will also study regarding their common attributes.

OBJECTIVES

This unit will enable you to develop sophisticated, interactive web pages. Through this unit you will be study

  • links by using ANCHOR tag;
  • ordered, unordered & definition Lists;
  • tables;
  • frames to divide a web page into distinct parts; and
  • forms for accepting user input.
