Problem statement
Most project managers are generally known as good communicators, but sometimes they fail to communicate as per their standard. All projects are by temperament liquefied and ever altering. This hoist up troubles specifically for the project manager of large projects because he has to consider all form of modifications and challenges all the way until the project ends making sure that stakeholders are up to date with issues and progress, therefore, trying to avoid nasty surprises which might pop up later on. For working on large projects usually, a huge number of people are required (Gällstedt, 2003). For such reason in a project team diverse group of people are recruited. In some large projects team, although members are put together, they never worked mutually. The diversity that exists within project teams can vary in literary, physical, managerial or practical standpoint. Diversity thus creates a problem in effective communication within project management teams dealing specifically with large projects. (You did identify a problem but how others have viewed this problem and whether or not they resolved it. You need to tell the reader how your research is fit with other people work that investigated this issue)
Research Question, Aim and Objectives
Research Question:
Does effective communication in project team bring transparency in project status?
Research Aim:
The aim of the research is to analyze the common measures to ensure effective communication within the project team in large projects.
Research Objectives:
o To assess the project structure made through effective communication practices
o To identify the success level of project teams on large projects when defined with effective communication
o To analyze the transparency in projects when developed by adopting communication measures
The purpose of this assignment
- Analyse and determine a research methodology that integrates research tools and methodologies in order to solve the research problem.
- Develop an implementation plan and submit a project proposal.
Scope of assignment
- 1500 words and more - methodology section.
- Students to submit a Gantt chart to outline the timeline for conducting proposed research in PPMP20016.
- No need to submit appendices of part A & B. Just add a section at the beginning to confirm your research question and objectives.
What you must NOT do?
- Proceeding with explaining the research method without first analysing the methodology.
- Selecting a methodology or method without justifying why it is more appropriate for your research.
