The basic operators used in SQL are * / - +

Operators of the similar priority are evaluated From Left to right

Parentheses are used to force prioritized evaluation.

Example:

SELECT ENAME, SAL, 12*SAL+100

FROM EMP;

SELECT ENAME, SAL, 12*(SAL+100) FROM EMP;
