Objective: This assignment has been designed for students to apply advance programming techniques in developing and testing mobile application.

Requirements:

Section A - J2ME Game

Using the J2ME platform, develop a mobile game using any game scenario of your choice.

You are required to provide the following features in your implementation:

- 2D implementation using sprite, game canvas and tiled layer
- Minimum of 2 complexity level
- Able to track game score
- Able to pause game play
- Provide user Replay option

You are required to include a critical evaluation section in your documentation on your mobile game.

Section B - Mobile Data Collection System

Using the Microsoft Mobile .Net Framework (.Net Compact Framework) and ASP.NET web technology develop a mobile data collection system for any application scenario of your choice. The objective of the system is to provide a mechanism to retrieve data which is originally stored in a web server. The information or data retrieve from the web server will then be processed and/or displayed. The mobile data collection system will basically consist of two components:

- A device application to act as the data consumer
- A web application to act as the data provider

The device application involves designing and building the application that will run on the hand held device to collect the actual data. A suitable user interface should be designed, implement and tested. It is important when designing this part to consider how it will work as part of the overall system. Careful consideration should be given to the way in which data is held and persisted.

The web application involves completing the application by developing the web components of the system and the communications between the mobile device and the web application through shared data source.

The second part must be supported with a suitable design, typically using UML type notation and appropriate accompanying documentation. The design should be succinct but in sufficient detail to explain how the system works.

You are required to include a critical evaluation section in your documentation on your mobile data collection system.
