Group Project Information

Project objective: Each group will be responsible for creating an information system using MS Excel based macros and Access Database to help the (fictitious/anonymous) business chosen(e.g, a Macro can be used to convert measurement units from one unit to another (repetitive task)) The groups will also record a short (less than five minutes) video presentation that demonstrates the use of this macro. The presentation will be played in the class in the last week.

The completed project should at least provide a working database with minimum 5 tables (displaying relationships, forms, queries, and reports) and an excel file with atleast 5 worksheets using macros to help the firm in solving some of its information management problems.

Deliverable 2: The Project

The groups will submit the Database and their Excel Workbooks they have created for this deliverable.

The groups can provide a user manual/instructions on how their database and excel work sheets works and how they help their client improve their business processes and information management function.

Deliverable 2: The Project Presentation
In this deliverable the groups will submit a video presentation (Maximum 6 minutes) of their Database and Excel Workbook.

The groups would use this presentation to briefly describe their case company/organization, Demo their project and explain how its improves the business processes and information management function in the organization.

The presentations will be randomly picked and played in the class on the last day. Groups must be present to take questions on their presentations and provide written feedback for other groups on their presentation.
