prepare a report to describe the concept of LAN and WAN including the numerous components of the telecommunication infrastructure required by UTM Ltd. You are required to give an overview of the numerous topologies as well as their merits and demerits.

problem 2:

You are needed to advise the management of UTM Ltd about the dissimilar kinds of information systems that it might require at the numerous levels of the organisation. Illustrate with instances the six major types of information systems and their relevant applications to the company.

Your answer should clearly indicate the benefits to be accrued by the company on successful implementation of each of the information systems when employed individually and as an integrated system. Use of relevant diagrams would help management to better understand your proposals.

With the popularity of the Internet and its global acceptance as a business instrument, the company is thinking firmly of providing email addresses and internet access to all its staff members, but management is not convinced yet on how these will benefit the company.

You are therefore needed to submit a report to the management of the company describeing the goodness of the Internet as well as the various services accessible and how the company could benefits from them.
