Assignment Brief:

Part 1

Produce a Web site from a given design that has 5 internal and 1 external links and makes use of the following formatting techniques and objects:
(a) bold
(b) Italics
(c) underline
(d) headings
(e) different fonts
(f) colour
(g) graphics
(h) tables
(i) Divs
(j) forms

Part 2

Owner will demand changes to the website you created in Part 1 to suit their needs. You will submit the website for review after making the changes.

Part 3

Report
Write a report detailing the process you undertook to plan, design and implement the website.

Your report should contain the following headings: ontents (Automatically generated table of contents)

Introduction (Brief intro about what the website is called and why you chose the subject)

Methodology (The main phases of the project and how you went about the creation of your website

i.e. the research, planning, design diagrams, HTML coding etc.

Planning

Purpose (What is the website required to achieve)
Audience (The audience description)
Use Cases (The activities description in your planning workbook)

Design
Website Structure (The tree diagram including any amendments. Include caption and brief description)
Website Page Layout (Wire frame diagram drawn in your planning workbook including any amendments. Include a caption and brief description)

Evaluation

Usability
Write an honest evaluation of your website regarding how easy it is to use (or not) and access (Accessibility). The testing of your website will be iterative and includes input from your peers and tutor.

Consider the following questions to give you some ideas:

a. is it easy CO move worn one page to another?

b. Is the overall organisation of the site easy to understand?

c. Are individual pages consistently and clearly organised?

d. Are you able to complete tasks/find information in a reasonable amount of time?

e. Is all the content legible on the site?

f. Use captioned screen prints of your website to illustrate your points

Improvements
Does your website satisfy the required use cases? Is it fit for purpose? Anything you would change or add? This may be aesthetic or technical, maybe some further content.

Validation
Validated to the XHTML 1.0 Strict standard, description of any common problems you experienced - if any!

Conclusion
A short reflection/summary on the points raised in the report and what you have achieved
