Discuss the role of the Length/Type field and how this field is used along with the Data field to identify the actual payload of the frame. Discuss the purpose of the Frame Check Sequence (FCS) field, and how the FCS field is used to detect errors in the frame.

Create a simple table that describes the maximum distance (in meters) between nodes in an Ethernet network that runs at:

• 100 Megabits per Second over Category 5 UTP cable
• 1 Gigabit per Second over Category 5e UTP cable
• 1 Gigabit per Second over Multimode fiber cable
• 10 Gigabit per Second over Multimode fiber cable
