Task 1.

Submit a work proposal for this assignment on or before 6th December, 2015

A report need to be submitted in an MSWord document having the following things:

a. Understanding of deliverables - a detail description of deliverables.

b. General overview of proposed plan - initial understanding of solution to task2.

c. Resources identified.

d. The work proposal must be submitted in a word file through the link available in Moodle.

Task 2:

You are required to complete the required tasks based on the scenario provided.

Create TCP socket implementation for Smart House application. The application is to monitor fire and water leak and to immediate notified if fire or water leak is detected. In addition, the application should provide lighting control by remotely turning lights on and off. Your implementation should have both client and server Java programs. The application should communicate in such a way that the client program will send stream of characters to the server for requesting data and control. The server program will perform the required control and send stream of characters to client as requested.

a. You are required to implement stream socket for communication

b. Both client and Server to be implemented on the same machine for demonstration

c. A Java application with appropriate GUI should be implemented on Client and Server as mandatory.

You are required to submit your assignment through Moodle as a report as per the following guidelines together with the softcopy of your programs in a /CD.
