POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM IN SATELLITE SYSTEM

Satellite Earth Station relies on the public power supply system. Two generators (1+1) of 250 KVA each in parallel connection having facility of auto switch over, two UPS of 200 KVA (1+1) and battery bank of 3.5 hours battery backup which makes the system robust and gives good reliability. Due to the above arrangement of the power supply and back up, communication system failure due to power supply system failure is almost negligible
