1: From what I have read, I believe there are five main parts of a TCP/IP plan. The first part is figuring what your TCP/IP network is going to look like and be composed of. There are different kinds of networks, network medias, and network topologies. You need to figure out which ones you are going to use as well as figuring out a number of other things. The second part is setting up a network addressing scheme.

Each computer needs an IP address and you need a central server to give them out. For extra security, you can have the IP addresses changed on a regular basis by the central server. You need to make sure each computer gets a suitable IP address. The third part is giving names to the devices of your network. The devices do not only need IP addresses but also names. Giving names to the devices makes it much easier for us humans to find a particular device.

The IP address is for the other devices to be able to find a certain device, and the name is for the users to be able to find a certain device. The fourth part is registering your network with InterNIC. InterNIC gives you a network number as well as allowing you to register your domain name so that you are able to connect to or communicate with other TCP/IP networks.

The fifth part which is not exactly necessary but still important is adding routers. Routers help you connect your network to another one. Depending on your network's topology you also might be in need of a router or routers.

2:What are the key parts of a TCP/IP LAN plan?

3:Like everything, your TCP/IP network can experience various problems. The main types of problems I have discovered are connectivity problems, data corruption, and router issues. In order to fix any of these problems, you need to ask yourself what exactly is going wrong and perform some tests in order to figure out exactly where the problem is and what the problem is. There are many special computer tools that can help you find and fix these problems. If you are not too familiar with TCP/IP networks or can not figure out a particular problem, your best choice is to look for some information about your problem in books or on the Internet or to ask for someone's help obviously someone who is knows a lot about TCP/IP networks.

4:What is the best practice for site navigation? What makes this practice the best?

5:Discuss the focus of your final project website. Describe the preliminary design and navigation goals you aim to achieve and why. Respond to your classmates with additional design goals they might consider.

6:You mentioned Frontpage. It has been about 15 years since I used Frontpage last. I'm not sure if it is supported in the latest versions of Microsoft Office. I was never fond of the templates. They were hard to maintain and modify after the pages were created.

Dreamweaver is the latest offering of Adobe and is included in Toolwire for these classes.
