Since the advent of the internet, institutions have looked for ways to cut cost and provide their customers a better service on the products or services they offer. Electronic Banking establishments have become an indispensable component of global economies.

Banks now allowed a huge collection of financial products and services, being made accessible to marketing and wholesale customers through electronic delivery channels, usually know as e-banking.

This is true today in the banking sector with the introduction of electronic banking. This new service has grown over the years and is projected to keep growing. On the other hand, many users of this service have discovered that using it for banking can be risky. Phishing and keylogging attacks have also risen in this sector which means criminals will always have control of a small portion of an account at any given time.

Banks usually move fast freezing the transaction and reversing it, but the true solution may be at the application levels with durability. Keyloggers end up on computers like most other malware through add-ons in phishing emails, malicious downloads and scripts designed to run on browsers. Keyloggers are a very real and common danger to our financial data.

According to Anderson, (2008) "Convergence is usually achieved using semantic tricks such as timestamps and version numbers; this can often be enough where transactions get appended to files rather than overwritten". Recovery will have to be reworked into resilience which might require revisiting what a convergent system is.

When designing distributed systems, protocols such as atomic, consistent, isolated and durable (ACID) that updated their state should be put into consideration which helps to recover that system if and when it fails. When introducing redundancy mechanisms and the various protection technologies, planning is required and clarity in why they are needed it should be stated during the initial steps in the design process.

In the book of Isaiah 30:21 it states, "And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left". Clarity in redundancy is needed when designing distributed systems.
