It is a PhD level and is about HIV/AIDS disease surveillance in the United States. There are two articles found online (which are on the bottom) to help with part 1 and part 2.

Part 1. Develop a disease surveillance algorithm for HIV/AIDS. (Use the sample algorithm found in the article by Hulth et al., (2010) that is attached to this e-mail). Write a 1 page paper to:

a. Identify the indicators you chose to include and explain why they are appropriate.

b. Describe the logical process of the algorithm (you may wish to illustrate using a diagram).

c. Justify any other salient features of the algorithm.

d. Evaluate the strengths and limitations of the algorithm.

Part 2. Create a mock-up screen of a "digital dashboard" for HIV/AIDS disease surveillance system. Include a framework for the display of data based on the algorithm you designed previously.

a. Identify clearly how all of the various data sources will be pulled together for querying (assuming you have more than one source)

b. Identify how a case of your disease of interests will be defined from within the various data sources you intend to use

c. Verbally and/or visually indicate how your algorithm will be executed to return the confirmed or anticipated case of your disease.

d. Introduce the manner in which this response will be displayed using the digital dashboard. Use appropriate graphics and words to explain.

Part 3. System Evaluation Proposal

Research and identify two or three additional peer-reviewed articles related to evaluating disease surveillance systems. Write a 2 to 3 page pager:

a. Propose how you would evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the HIV/AIDS disease surveillance system you have developed.

b. Identify and define the criteria you will include in your evaluation.

c. Justify the selection of evaluation criteria.

d. Cite the two or three articles that informed your research for this section.

Part 4. System Analysis

Write a 2 page paper in which you analyze the cost, functionality, timeframe, and social, political, environmental, and economic elements of your designed HIV/AIDS disease surveillance system.

Part 5. Conclusion

Write a 1- to 2-page summary of including a review of the purpose and goals of the Project, salient research findings, system features, analysis, implications, and limitations.
