Assignment Title: Speed control of DC motor using PID (proportional integral derivative) control.

The objective of the project is to protect damage of the DC motors. If the motor is not working it will be shown with red light, if working normally then green and if working at a slow speed then it will glow yellow light. The block diagram of the circuitry comprises of the given components:

Design Steps:

A) Firstly Design the circuit for the assignment
B) Make the layout and draw it on PCB.
C) Design the programming for the assignment.
D) Perform soldering and complete the circuit.

Deliverables:

At the time of submission you have to submit 2 hard copies (spiral bound printed on both sides of paper) comprising soft copy of your documentation.

Documents: Coursework Report

You are advised to limit the number of pages of the report to forty (40) pages. The font size used in the report must be 12pt and Times New Roman. The report must be typed and clearly printed. As part of the assessment, you must submit the project report in printed and softcopy form, which should have the following format:

Cover Page:

All reports must be prepared with a front cover. A protective transparent plastic sheet can be placed in front of the report to protect the front cover. The front cover should be presented with the following details:

A) Module.
B) Coursework Title.
C) Intake.
D) Student name and id.
E) Date Assigned (the date the report was handed out).
F) Date Completed (the date the report is due to be handed in).

Contents:

A) Objective, working principle and detailed theory.
B) Circuit Designand implementation.
C) Programming.
D) Result and Conclusion.
E) Formatting of report.
F) References.
