The feedback system for the Buck circuit can be analyzed by separating DC component from small signal perturbation. The performance of the feedback can be assessed by examining the Bode plot of the loop transfer function GL(s). As we discussed in the lecture, if a perturbation term Rd is inserted, Rd can be reduced by a factor of |1+GL(s)|. But to avoid the instability that at crossover frequency, the phase margin needs to be 45-60 degrees.
