Term Technical Report, Civil Engineering, Thermal cracking

"Civil Engeneering " I have a term technical report specilized on Thermal asphalt distressed analysis. The term report will be 20 pages included graphs and tables. I've already finished the proporsal with General puposes, Objectives, main finding and special considerations. I also have around 14 references that can be used or you can use your own references but include at least 2 of my referneces. Technical Report Proposal

Title: Thermal distressed asphalt pavement analysis

General Purpose:

Define the cause of cracking distressed pavement, application methods of treatment and prevention of thermal crack. The report will include the most effective practices to define the problem, maintenance and avoidance of future deterioration of pavement.

Specific Objectives:

1. Define the key of thermal asphalt pavements.

2. Collecting data and information regarding the performance measurements of thermal distressed.

3. Improve a model of best practices for an exist condition that includes prior enforcement, enforcement and after enforcement.

4. Explain future management system to maintain a good condition of pavement and prevent thermal distressed.

The main findings for this report:

1. What are the main keys for thermal cracking?

2. The importance of relating performance measurements to functional failure that includes safety and quality of pavement.

3. Two models were found for design asphalt concrete that are resistant to thermal cracking such as linear elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM), and Cohesive zone fracture models.

4. DCT test is used to determine the fracture energy of brittle materials under tensile stresses and results in providing data that can be used to improve asphalt mixes by increasing fracture resistance.

5. Types of maintenance treatments such crack repair with sealing, crack filling, full depth crack, fog seal, seal coat, double chip seal, slurry seal, micro-surfacing, and thin hot-mix overlays

6. General maintenance practices such as preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenances.

Special considerations:

The purpose of this report is to discuss thermal cracking and how to prevent it. Furthermore, it will include best practices for keeping the safety for the pavement design and future maintenance. In order to achieve a resistant pavement for thermal cracking, we need to test the
asphalt mix using DCT test.
