Secondary Induction

The two primary inductive events that we have described so far are significant in the patterning of early embryo. But there are another such signaling events called secondary induction events that are significant for two reasons.

1) Secondary inductions that could be of sequential in nature, produce diverse cell types from relatively less distinct precursor cells.

2) Secondary induction events position the distinguished cells in precise locations in the embryo.
