Biodiversity which constitutes the whole of "living" nature has a profound "scientific value" in all cultures. The ‘life -sciences' including agriculture, medicines, biotechnology and their varied applications pertaining to conservation, scientific insight and discoveries are based on the observations and study of nature/ plants, animals and their habitats.
