Thinking in terms of trophic levels, what might be a superior way to feed an increased human population than using any type of animal as a major food source, and why would this be the case?

Based on your answers above, does entomophagy seem like a viable option for feeding an increased human population? What changes might be needed to make this sort of diet more "palatable" (get it?
