Problemim trying to assemble met genomic data that comes, Ask an Expert

Problem:

I'm trying to assemble met genomic data that comes from termite guts. The sequences come from Solid and no paired, so the reads are extremely short (25bp).

I have tried multiple assemblers (CLC, velvet, metavelvet, Meta-IDBA) but all produce few contains (15 contigs, 1000bp average). The contig output is scarce considering the amount of raw data (5 Gpb).

Has anybody has any success in a task such as this?
