Consider that an organism has two homologous chromosomes Ap, Am, Bp and Bm (p = paternal and m =maternal) and also has a chromosome Z without a homolog.

Draw a diagram of the chromosomes in metaphase (mitosis) and metaphase I (meiosis). Assuming no crossing-over occurs, what will be the possible distribution of monads in the gametes? (hint: consider drawing a diagram of meiosis with these chromosomes).
