Part A - Project Plan

This assignment is based on the Cornerstone Securities case study.

Now that the project plan has been approved by the Project Sponsor and the Executive Team the next step in Cornerstone's Project Management Methodology is the ‘detailed planning'.

As the Project Manager, you must now develop the project plan to finish the project. The project plan will be used to present the detailed parameters of the project for signoff by the Project Sponsor and Executive Team of Cornerstone Securities. If these detailed parameters of the project are accepted, then the project may proceed to the project execution phase.

As detailed in the assignment 2 template, group submitted the project plan must include:

1. Document Purpose

2. Project Background

3. Project Objectives

4. Project Stakeholders

5. Project Value Statement

6. Project Constraints

7. Project Scope (product-oriented only)

8. Task List (showing task names and deliverables linked to each scope item)

9. Project Budget (showing a breakdown of the budget allocation)

10. Project Time Estimate (a justified time estimate)

11. Quality Management Plan

12. Risk Management Process

13. Project Monitoring and Control

14. Implementation Strategy

15. Recommendations(s) and Approvals

It is envisaged that your project plan will be approximately 25 pages in length (excluding title page, table of content, and appendices).

Part B - Personal Reflection

Each group member will write a personal reflection addressing the following four (4) points:

1. In regards to the feedback you received for Assignment 1, how did you respond to and incorporate this into the group submission of Part A Project Plan

2. Describe the allocation of Part A Project Plan work amongst the group members.

3. Describe how the group worked together to submit an appropriate Part A Project Plan

4. What did you learn about communication and collaboration and how you might use this in a current or future workplace or in another groupwork assignment?

It is envisaged that your personal reflection will be approximately 500 words in length.
