Prokaryotic Cells - Bacterial & Archaea

Eukaryotic Cells - Plant, Animal, Protist, and Fungi (Yeasts are single celled fungi)

Plant Cells-

1. Look at the living plant Elodea.

- Draw what you see and label the cell wall and chloroplasts.

2. Add some salt water to the slide and look at it again.

- Draw what you see.
- What happened to the cell after the salt water was added?

3. Look at a potato cell and stain it with iodine.

- Draw what you see. (Iodine stains starch grains a dark purple)
