Problem: A post synaptic neuron has a synapse with 5 presynaptic neurons, The first 2 presynaptic neurons give EPSP of 5 each, the 3rd gives an IPSP of 3, The last 2 give EPSP of 2 each however the final presynaptic neuron exhibits temporal summation so that 3 EPSP's fire.

Question: Given that the resting membrane potential of the postsynaptic neuron is -70 and threshold is -55, will the postsynaptic neuron fire an action potential if all 5 of the presynaptic neurons give signal? Provide a minimum of two scholarly references.
