Jillian and Michael are in their freshman year at college. The two have been friends since grade school and the two of them enjoy getting together for dinner.

Michael typically eats a steak and cheese sub sandwich every day from the school dining hall. Jillian on the other hand has more of dilemma. She does not eat meat. She does enjoy fish; however the fish from the school dining hall is typically battered and deep fried. Typically, Jillian sticks to salads with low fat dressing and low fat yogurt for dinner or a bowl of cereal with low fat milk.

"I'm starving!" Jillian told Michael one night at dinner. "There is never anything that I want to eat in dining hall. I'm losing weight and I feel cold a lot and I'm so tired all the time. I can't wait till this weekend. I'm going home to have a home cooked meal". Michael's eyes lit up at the thought of a home cooked meal. "You want to come too" Jillian asked.

That weekend both Jillian and Michael arrived at the house to the welcoming aromas of home cooking. There were hot bread (dinner) rolls, salad with oil and vinegar dressing, grilled salmon and fresh chocolate chip cookies for dessert. They sat down to dinner and after one bite Michael decided this was the best meal he had ever had. Michael had a second helping. Jillian ate a big meal as well. As she spread margarine on her dinner roll she couldn't help but smile at the sight of her friend enjoying dinner.

Jillian's parents served the chocolate chip cookies with low fat ice cream. "I made the cookies with butter" Jillian's father reminded his wife who had been watching her cholesterol. Everyone ate cookies and ice cream except Jillian's mother. As they were leaving to go back to school Michael remarked "I can't thank you enough. That was delicious".
