It is very common for one to have a deficiency in calcium and vitamin D.  Vitamin D is necessary to help your body to absorb calcium to build healthy bones (Vitamin D, 2014).  There are several options for someone that does not consume milk and dairy products to meet their need for calcium and vitamin D.  As you have discussed, vitamin D toxicity is most likely to come from supplementation rather than from the diet alone.  How would one know if they were consuming too much vitamin D?  Looking forward to your response.
