In a tow stage elongation of specimen, the length is first increased from lo to l1 and then from l1 to l2. Write down the true strain e1 and e2 respectively , for each of the two elongation processes considered separatly. Show that the true strain for the over all elongation l0 to l2 is given by sum of the true strian for each of the two separate process. is the same true for the normal strain?
