First the size of a cell depends on the ability to receive food. A larger cell can carry more nutrient and gases, but a large cell also takes more energy to move. A smaller cell is more efficient in carry thing such as product. A smaller cell may not can carry as much but it moves more efficiently than a large cell. The smaller cells carry less but they can navigate between the large cells.
