Find an example of the weird, the wild, the familiar, or your personal favorite species. Discuss those features that uniquely suit this organism to survival within a given set of environmental conditions. When considering the features of an organism, include its observable physical characteristics (which can be seen by the naked eye), as well as the organizational, social, chemical, or behavioral characteristics of the organism. Does it need a huge amount of territory?

Also, your post should include how the reproductive strategies used by this organism currently either help or hinder the species. Does it rely on huge numbers of offspring with no or little investment in parenting? Does it parent a few offspring over a long period of time? 

You can search the Web for the organism of your choice. If you can find it on the web, include a link to a picture or description of your organism. With the huge diversity of organisms available, I do not expect to see the same organism twice. Include links or references if appropriate.
