describe Understanding the process of reverse transcription.
When I discourse about HIV to beginning biology students it's sometimes at ease to say that reverse transcriptase is unique to HIV. While it is true that I am (hopefully) not now expressing a human reverse transcriptase, I am, alas not telling them the whole truth.
A. describe what enzymatic activity does a reverse transcriptase carry out?
B. describe what is the name of the human reverse transcriptase?
C. describe where on chromosomes does it function?
D. describe why is it necessary?
E. describe why am I hoping I'm not currently expressing it?
