Explain the view of Gordon Gekko in the movie Wall Street that "greed is good". Then, explain Solomon's analysis and critique of this notion. Describe an instance or example that you believe exemplifies "greed" in the current financial crisis. Then, provide a moral evaluation of this action (or actions) applying at least one moral theory. (A copy of this speech is available for viewing in Session 4.)
Remember, the 10 true-false/multiple choice questions will be drawn directly from the Practice Quiz.
The reflection question will be the following: Describe a moral problem that you have faced in your professional or personal life. Do you think your study in this class would have helped you make better sense of the problem? Do you think your study of moral theory and how to reason about moral problem would have helped you find a reasonable solution? Be specific. What concepts or theories would have benefitted you and why? If you find no benefit to what you have studied in this class, explain why you think the content of the course is unhelpful. Again, be specifc. Show how material covered in the course is not helpful.
