All eukaryotic cells have distinct shapes, and are also capable of assuming different shapes. 'The internal organelles of a cell are also capable of migrating from one location to another in a precise manner. Thus, the cell must be endowed with some mechanism to keep the internal structures in their proper places, and also to control their movements.
