  4.  Chest X-ray cardiomegaly if CHF present. 
  5.  ECG-prolonged PR interval. 
  6.  Laboratory findings. 

Treatment

  1.  No specific treatment to cure rheumatic fever. 
  2.  Antibiotics and administered to control infection. 
  3.  Procaine penicillin 600,000 units IM for lodays, Benzathine penicillin. 
  4.  1.2 million unit IM every two or three weeks. 
  5.  Acetylsalicylic acid-in case of arthritis. 
  6.  Corticosteroids-if carditis is present.
