Design two converters – boost-buck (Cuk) and flyback meeting the following criteria:

  • Vin = 15 V … 35 V
  • Vout = 25 V
  • Output voltage ripple 1% peak to peak
  • Switching frequency 150 kHz
  • Load 10 W … 50 W

The design should take into account non-ideal effects such as non-zero ON saturation voltage of the transistor and non-zero ON voltage drop across the diode. You should select appropriate components from the LTSpice library. Do not use ideal switches in the final design. The design does not include the controller, so you should just find out the required duty cycles for the converters. Use as small as possible values of the transfer sources which still ensure that the output voltage meets the design criteria and the converters operate safely in continuous mode. The report should include:

  • Detailed analysis and design of the converters.
  • LTSpice analysis results.
  • Conclusions.
