Consider the sampling of real signal

a) Typically a speech signal that can be understood over a telephone shows frequencies from 100 to 5 Khz. What would be the sampling frequency fs(sample/sec) what would be used to sample speech without aliasing? How many samples would you need to save when storing an hour of spech? If each sample is presented by 8 bits, how many bits would you have too save for an hour of speech?

b) A music signal typpically displays frequencies from 1 up to 22 Khz. What would be the sampling frequency fs that would be used in a cd player?

c) If you have a signal that combines voice and musical instruments, what sampling frequency would yoou use to sample the signal? How would the signal sound if played at different frequency lower than the Nyquist sampling frequency?
