Consider the following gas well drilled 2,000 meters vertically with a (essentially) horizontal leg of 200 meters length. The entire well is cased (closed) except for a 10 cm long cylindrical permeable plug at the end of the horizontal leg. The vertical section is 10 cm in diameter, the horizontal leg 10 cm in diameter. At the top of the well there is a valve and pressure meter. Next is a porous filter (10 cm in diameter and 10 cm in length) with a pressure meter on the filter output which feeds into a 10 cm diameter pipe line.

Assume ideal gas behavior and constant identical temperatures.
