AutoCAD Assignment 1

The attached drawings show a shaped block and a spigot cube (in a mixture of first and third angle projections) and a V-block isometric.

1. Within ‘Model Space' use 3D methods to produce a 3D solid drawing of each object.

2. Produce three drawing files, one for each of the objects, comprised of the front elevation and third angle projections, with associated dimensions, at an appropriate scale, together with the associated isometric view ( for the spigot cube and shaped block about corner ‘A').

3. Finally you are to prepare within ‘Paper Space' a drawing for plotting with an appropriate title block (note, you will need to choose an appropriate size of paper for the plot)

The marks for this assignment are split as follow:
• Spigot cube - 25%;
• Shaped block - 35%;
• V block - 40%;Submission

• Submission is to be three AutoCAD 2011.dwg files using your surname plus
CADVIEW as the filename, e.g. Cheah CADVIEW.dwg
• All files are to be submitted via the appropriate dropbox in the NOW module on or before Friday 10 February 2011.
• Additionally a hard paper copy of the final electronically submitted drawings should also be submitted by 2 pm on this date.

This is to guard against any possibility of confusion over the origin of the work. Failure to include this statement may result in the work not receiving a mark.
