Section 1: INTRO: 3 marks

•The breath of the intro; this should be a broad overview, with

•references.

•A brief introduction to “your case study” based immune system is

OK (couple of

•sentences), but also need to add an extensive discussion of

•T cells, B cells, innate immunity etc.

•The depth of the examples

•No errors in understanding

HIV vaccine development/immune therapy:

Should mention different types of immunotherapy, ie: passive, with

antibodies, active, eg vaccination, cytokine therapy etc.

•What are the reasons for using immunotherapy?

•What are the major targets etc?

Those who received infection or allergy or transplantation or

cancer example

The primary literature should be comprehensive and tell us about

stage of infection, cellular and humoral immune responses and

how the therapy was used and why it works
