Assignment - We have an Extended Experimental Investigation on HEAT OF COMBUSTION, my chosen substances are Methanol, Ethanol, Butanol and Pentanol all the basic alcohols. The topic researching is, "Determining and comparing the trends in heat of combustion of homologous series.
Discussion: The discussion interpretation and analysis of the results and explanation to establish the significance of the data.
- Briefly indicate the main relationships that were inferred from the experimental results. Compare your results with published results in the literature.
- Explain your results using scientific concepts, theories and principles.
- Critically assess the reliability of the results and compare them with those expected/predicted. Identify and analyse any errors and anomalies in your results, the possible causes and improvements.
- Discuss any problems and difficulties that were encountered during the experiment and suggest strategies for improvement.
- The results of the experiment should be related to the context of the published literature as contained in the Introduction.
