Part of your job at the Obstetrical and Gynecological clinic was to council young teenagers about the risks of STDs and how to prevent them. Health problems caused by HPV include genital warts, cervical cancer, oral cancer, and penile and vaginal cancer. Most people aren't aware they're infected and may give HPV to a partner without knowing it. About 79 million Americans are currently infected with HPV. About 14 million people become newly infected each year. Preteens should receive all three doses of the HPV vaccine series long before they begin"any" type of sexual activity and are exposed to HPV.
