Write a three (3) page essay answering the question below that incorporates evidence from multiple course materials--class lectures, class discussions, and especially assigned readings. Essays that rely on a narrow range of sources will not receive high marks.

Read the two articles by Wolf and Wade and reflect on the two authors' perspectives on globalization and how and why they differ in their analyses of the issue. Pay attention to their different interpretations of quite similar data. How and why if they used similar information, they somehow have derived very different views.

You should also consider using the information gleaned from other readings, lectures, and class activities from the past three weeks to help you interpret the arguments in the two articles and articulate your own understanding of globalization. (Hint, do not attempt to discuss every issue, focus instead on one issue and fully develop it.)

Format:

Essay must be at least 3 pages, double-spaced, employ correct grammar and sentence structure, and be free of typographical errors.

The essay should have one-inch margins left, right, top and bottom; make the necessary format adjustments. Use 10-12 points Times New Roman font. Your name and class should be on a separate cover page, *Use Chicago style citation and "endnotes" on a separate page at the end of the essay instead of "footnotes" at the bottom of each page.

Full bibliographical format of the two articles:

Wolf, Martin. "Incensed About Inequality." In The Globalization Reader, fourth edition, edited by Frank Lechner and John Boli, 180-186. Wiley-Blackwell, 2012.

Wade, Robert Hunter. "Is Globalization Reducing Poverty and Inequality?" In The Globalization Reader, fourth edition, edited by Frank Lechner and John Boli, 187-193. Wiley-Blackwell, 2012.

Full endnote format, first name and then last name, and the specific page number.
