Working with an organization the main focus should be achieving the organization's goal.  Every organization should have an effective goal that can be achieved.  In order to achieve an organization's goal structure and the effectiveness of the organization play an important role.  The organization I am affiliated with have a strong structured foundation.   The organization is Brandi's Hope.

Brandi's Hope is an organization that provides service to the persons with intellectual disability.  The organization was developed based off the sake of their daughter Brandi.  Brandi was born with a disorder called Trisomy 18.  Due to her condition, it was difficult for the family to receive service and support for their daughter so, the mother had to be a stay at home mother.  Needless to say, Brandi passed away at the age of ten.

The structure of this organization starts with the CEO.  The CEO is Brandi's father Mr. Danny Cowart.  Mr. Cowart has company's in five different locations and plans to go statewide in the next few years.  According to the website, "The goal and purpose for beginning Brandi's Hope Community Services is to do just that: support individuals the way they choose to be supported."  After the CEO it is important to have a reliable administrative department.  The administrative department consists of human resource, billing, and social services.   The human resource department is responsible for making sure every location has the adequate amount of staff to make sure the people we serve is receiving the proper care.  At my work location, the human resource does a great job monitoring employment status and keep everyone updated on the proper training that is needed for employment purposes.  After human resource, everything is directed to the billing department.  The billing department monitor deals with Medicare, Medicaid, and client's funding.  The billing department is important within our organization because that is how our service provider receives funds to pay employees.  The social service department makes sure the clients have all the necessary essentials to live an everyday normal life.  The social service also monitor client's Medicare, Medicaid, and banking information to make sure it is not being misused.  After the administrative staff, the company is branch off to different locations.  Every location has a day center, clients,  site director, assistant manager, and employees.

The day center is where clients receive training in the area of personal hygiene, cooking,  and money management.  Teaching the client's the importance of those things will allow the clients to live in a less restricted environment.  Working in this organization each client has a different disability.  Some clients disability are worse than others.  The job can get difficult at times having to deal with 45 clients with only 9 employees but, our job must carry on.  Every client within this organization gets treated with the utmost respect.  The site director plan, direct, and coordinate their appointed location.  It is important to have an effective site director to make sure all clients are receiving the proper care and proper training so, they can become independent as possible.  The assistant manager works hand and hand with the site director.  The assistant manager has a huge responsibility because they monitor employee attendance and employee job performance.  The employees play a great factor within this organization to fulfill the organization's goal.  The employees have huge responsibilities such as assisting, teaching, transporting, and engaging with client's to make sure they are living an everyday normal life.  Working with this organization employees carry themselves with dignity and respect.

The organization is great but, there is always room for improvement.  The structure and foundation of the organization are perfect because it meets the organization's goal. The only issue I have noticed about working with the organization is the lack of medical care.  Every location should have a nurse that transport client's to doctor appointments and give out the prescribed medication.  Right now it is the staff responsibility to make sure the clients are transported to the doctor's appointment and receive their medicine.  Having a nurse at every location will allow clients to seek medical emergencies immediately.

Brandi's Hope is an effective organization because it is an organization of standards and does a great job achieving the organization's goal.  Working with this organization clients have always been the main priority.  The organization is effective at achieving its mission, and the mission is good in God's eyes means more honor is being brought to God.  I am sure Ms. Brandi Cowart is smiling down from Heaven, happy to see her father providing support to others.

Working with intellectual disabled it takes patience, caring, and a loving heart.  The organization does a great job honoring God because it involves helping and supporting others.  According to Philippians 2:4, "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interest of others."  The verse fits the organization perfectly because we have to set our interest to the side and focus on the best interest of the clients.  It is important that all clients be treated appropriately as if we want someone to treat us and our love ones.
