What is the solubility of MnS, in grams per liter, in a buffer solution that is 0.115M HC2H3O2 - 0.500M NaC2H3O2 ? For MnS, Kspa=3x10^7
I've gotten as far as to set up this equation...
MnS (s) + 2H3O (double arrows) Mn2+ + H2S + 2H2O
Kspa = [Mn2+][H2S]/[H3O]^2
But am not sure how to go about it from here. No one has been able to answer this question for me! You can't just set the Kspa = x^2 and solve because theres a sulfide involved.
