What does education literature offer as some of the key factors that usually serve as motivation for adult learners to return to school? Education literature offers motivational tools to inspire adult learners to be self motivators. It gives them opportunities to advance on their jobs, and enhance their living conditions.

What should the balance be between self motivation and external motivation in online education? I think that there should be an even balance that comes from self motivation because you should desire a better life so you study to get your degree and external motivation that comes from the outcome of advancing your education to make a better living for children or themselves.

What does the literature say about these internal and external motivations in online learning?

It states that motivation should always be an existing factor. Motivation causes us to drive for success and push to attain our goals.

How important is cognitive load theory when considering learner motivation, whether childhood learners or adults? It is very imperative because from infancy until death people are learning and this helps us to use different methods to learn.

During the 14-week course in business writing to penitentiary learners, It would seem only beneficial to implement self regulation to give participants the opportunity to better themselves by studying and have self control. I would instill in them tools to that will help them pass test for their GED and other necessary tools that they will need in life in order to better their lives. I would inspire them to write out goals, learn how to apply for jobs, and teach them how to start small businesses being that it will be difficult to possess a job after being in the penitentiary.

Self efficiency allows a person to believe in themselves. While Self regulation helps them to conduct themselves for the long haul I do not think it is possible without Self motivation. Self motivation gives them to drive or the push to succeed positively. All these are necessary in high school because high school students need to begin to understand that there is a huge transition between high school and college or getting a trade. No one will be on your backs to tell you to do homework or give extra credit to make up certain assignments.

If I had to design my class for learners who will be in a mixed class of factory assembly workers, supervisors, and midlevel manages I would find jobs in each field and give its classifications including job descriptions, pay, and responsibilities. This will help them practice and get an idea for what each job entails.

The obstacles that I foresee in helping eighth graders to learn self-reflection in their learning process is keeping them focused and alert on a particular subject. However, If I organized certain stations at a limited time frame I believe that keeping them focused will help them reflect in a way that helps them retain as well.
