Trick or Treat
In a minimum of one page, write an essay or poem (or combination of essay with poem) about your own opinion of not getting back your Exam #1 in this math class today is a trick or a treat.
- Your submitted essay/poem of the above topic must be typed using size-12 font, double-spaced, 1" margins on the left/right/top/bottom (like the format of this paper)
- Do not list things. It must be done in an essay format.
- Your name and date is only to be placed, in your choice of, either the header or the footer.
- You can email me your document as an attachment using Microsoft Word or Apple Pages or as a PDF to [email protected] , or hand in a hard-copy to me.
- You have until the Final Exam to complete and submit it.

Submit a one-page essay regarding different varieties of things that you can find about the New York State Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges (NYSMATYC).
* You can obtain information from the Internet.
* Begin with an appropriate introduction paragraph.
• Include at least 2 sentences regarding your personal
opinion(s) about the New York State Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges.
* Your submitted paper (like this page) must be typed using size-12 font, double-spaced, 1" margins on the left-right-top¬bottom, and spell-checked.
* Do not list things. It must be done in an essay format.
* End with an appropriate conclusion paragraph.
* If you want to include pictures, charts, sketches, diagrams, or a bibliography, then place them on a separate page(s), not on the first page.
* Your name and date is only to be placed in your choice of either the header or the footer, no cover page.
* Include a list of references and websites you have used.
You have until our Final Exam to complete and submit it.

1) In your own opinion, how should a successful mathematics professor teach the class? Be specific on qualifications, how class time is used, assignments of homeworks, and exams, attendance, diet, exercise, social time, other employment, research, etc... whatever you think are important for successful teaching of mathematics.

2) In your own opinion, what are the characteristics of a student who wants to be successful in a college mathematics course? Be specific on attendance, time used for homework, attendance, exam scores, diet, exercise, social time, employment, etc... whatever you think are important for successful learning of mathematics.
