  • For this discussion you will start off by watching 3 very different informative speech examples entitled "Acupuncture", "Conceal Weapons Law", and "Crime Prevention."
  • Once you have viewed the videos, please post your response to ALL of the following questions. Please note that it may take a minute for the Crime Prevention speech to come up on your computer since it is a MP4 file.
  • After you answer the following questions, write 2 of your own questions/comments for your classmates to answer about the videos. You will then need to respond to at least 2 questions/comments posted by your classmates.

Please make sure to provide detailed explanations with your answers. Number your answers.

1. Which speaker had a more effective introduction?

2. How did each speaker organize their ideas and were the speeches easy to follow?

3. What supporting materials did you like from each speech (examples/stats/explanations...etc)?

4. Which speaker gave information based on more credible sources - explain?

5. What did you learn from watching each speech that you will use and avoid in your informative speech?
