This assignment of 3 pages will require you to evaluate a book chapter to be assigned prior to the class. As in your Temple Grandin essay, you will include a summary of the content, but unlike the Grandin essay, you will be expected to interpret and evaluate the worth of the piece. A minimum of three in-text citations (APA format, cited correctly) from the source material will be required. Unit 6, p. 228, in Swales and Feak will provide guidance on content and style of language appropriate to critiques. As always, refer back to S&F p.3 for considerations of good writing, and be mindful of them.

Critiques should include:

· Summary of book/unit

· Information about organization of book/unit

· Evaluation: praise / criticism

· Awareness of audience
