Remember that the movie begins in Mexico City and travels down to Oaxaca, which currently stands as the 4th poorest state (out of 32) in Mexico.

What role does Luisa play? Could she fit in the Malinche/Virgen model that we have discussed this year? How do you see her femininity portrayed?
