The essay should be about  the novels: The Man of Feeling The topic is presented below, but it should be manageable in 3-4 pages. 

1) Can you identify a major theme in this work? Is the narrator's attitude toward this theme consistent? How does this theme develop throughout the course of the novel? For instance, you might look at the role of tears in The Man of Feeling. 

A clear arguable thesis statement in the last sentence of your first paragraph should be developed in each of your subsequent body paragraphs. Please keep plot summary to a minimum (generally less than fifteen percent of your essay). Outside research is unnecessary for this essay, but if you do use sources other than your text book, please cite them in the proper MLA format
